YMCA Nairobi Central Hostels is strategically located along the quiet state house road a walking distance from the central business district of the greater metropolitan city of Nairobi, a stone throw from the Nairobi arboretum. It is a destination for guests seeking affordable budget and pocket friendly accommodation, food and beverage services, swimming and aerobics.  The hostel has 138 bed capacity, 100 plus seater restaurant, snack counter, a 200 plus conference hall/s, laundry, swimming pool, gym, cyber, a chapel and ample parking for a 100 plus cars.

We provide hospitality services to the daily business world, with a spiritual mind that exhibits commitment, professionalism, integrity, and courtesy. We do and indeed we understand the needs of our guests, the need for serenity, exclusivity, security, relaxed body, mind, and soul. This needs define our identity and our policy framework which will shepherd YMCA Nairobi Central hostel to greater heights in membership, fellowship and divinity.

Nairobi Central Hostel boasts of an exclusive restaurant with a designer chef to provide tailor made cuisines to satisfy your needs as per our menu on display. The restaurant envisages serving both registered and non registered guests in a quiet and friendly environment that will seal the guest meal experience and expectations. Key to this we display great grand meal presentation with secrets of fresh, tasty, appealing and nutritious foods supplemented with aromatic herbs that serve medicinal values.

To do this the hostel has put in place excellent infrastructure, well trained staff, a balanced menu mix, modern service equipment, fancy lighting system, good interior decor as well as comfortable furniture. Here you are met with a unique serene environment where you can sit, usurp daily tribulations, meditate, worship and focus onto dining. Harmony is the guiding principle behind each buffet setup, for foods must marry or complement each other. Ideal blending is done to strike a balance of spicy, subtle, sweet and sour to suit all palates, the eye, the nose, and the tongue (food appealing state).

For the love of vitamins and natural molecules in our foods and customer needs we minimize our food production time to reduce destruction of nutrients? A days menu can be starter – clear soup (bitter lemons stuffed with minced pork), steamed dish (mussels in curry sauce), fried dish (with ginger), hot salad (beef slices in a bed of lettuce, onions, chilies, mint and lemon juice), variety of sauces (to dip the food), sweet dessert or fresh fruits- jackfruit, pineapples, oranges, grapes, durian, papaya, and melon.

The conference rates vary according to the duration taken, number of days, number of participants, type of menu and other hotel facilities requested by our esteemed clients such as accommodation, tea breaks, lunch, dinner, mineral water, sodas, projectors, etc. However as a guide our quotation is kshs1,450 conference package per person per day and includes: hall hire, , wireless internet, writing materials, 10 o’clock tea break with pastries, assorted sweets, buffet lunch with a soda, 4 o’clock coffee break with cookies, and mineral waters. N/B we encourage corporate business through special rates based on the anticipated volume of business the said institution will give to the hostel. Such can be agreed upon with the hotel management.
