VOLUNTEERING IN THE YMCA

YMCA is a voluntary organization and highly relies on its members to offer their “3 Ts”namely: Time, Treasure and Talent without cash rewards. This is done through programmes and activities like clean-ups, tree planting, blood donations, material and financial donations in time of need, home and hospital visits, home based care programmes for those living with HIV/AIDS, counseling services, facilitation of topics in which one is competent in to various groups, representing the organization in different forums freely and many other activities.
The activities in which members can volunteer vary from one branch to the other and sometimes are situational as well e.g. when disaster strikes and calls for urgent intervention.
